We do this by matching them with loving, caring and compassionate active mature caregivers to provide their needed services.
We're seeking compassionate individuals for various caregiving roles. The ideal candidate enjoys working with our senior population, has effective communication skills, and is a caring, empathetic and reliable individual. We currently have a specific need for a male client with Alzheimer's in Weymouth - experience with cognitive decline and memory loss is critical, and the ability to "see the person beyond the disease" is a must.
Specialized memory and Alzheimer’s/Dementia care, including but not limited to:
Listen attentively and interact with the client in a respectful manner to maintain dignity
Engage in cognitive and social activities to promote mental stimulation and overall wellbeing
Ensure a safe environment for the client, including preventing wandering and monitoring for fall risk
Provide redirection and support during difficult moments
Help maintain consistent and comfortable routines to reduce anxiety
Encourage physical activity (including walking the dog with the client)
Understand the ups and downs of Alzheimer's and not take mood changes personally
Assisting with activities of daily living and personal care needs (as needed)
Companionship and socialization
Light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders
Running errands and providing transportation to appointments (as needed)
Alzheimer's/Dementia experience (formal training/certification preferred)
Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute client care plan using our care management software
High level of emotional intelligence
Maintains the highest standards of customer service and professionalism
Valid driver's license and auto insurance
Compliance with background check, DMV record check, and drug screening (if applicable)
Completion of assigned training (initial and ongoing as needed)
Comfortable with dogs
