JOB TITLE: Director of Information Technology DEPARTMENT: Administration

SUMMARY: The Director of Information Technology reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and ensuring the security of the information technology infrastructure, services, and systems at Cardinal Cushing Centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides technical assistance and advice to staff and officials. Reports to the CHRO on a regular basis on department performance, critical issues, resource needs, etc.
- Establishes goals for IT operations, evaluates actual performance against those goals, and monitors the effectiveness of Cardinal Cushing Centers IT support vendor/help desk accordingly.
- Ensures computer, telephone, and network support to all system users.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and ensures the security of information technology infrastructure, services, and systems.
- Work with stakeholders to support the development and updating of Cardinal Cushing Centers technology disaster recovery plan to be sure core technology functions are available in an outage/disaster scenario for continuance of operations.
- Manages daily IT operations
- Updates, communicates and implements companywide policies and procedures.
- Provides training to staff as needed
- Creates short and long-term plans to meet present and future technological needs.
- Supports strategic growth initiatives
- Assesses the security of the IT infrastructure and systems and creates short and long-term plans for eliminating security risks, including establishing an acceptable use policy for staff.
- Meets with operational and management employees of all departments to learn the nature of their operations and the type of data and equipment needed to attain desired results.
- Analyzes business requirements for IT systems and assesses need for new equipment and software.
- Ensures a complete inventory of all company -owned computer hardware and software and maintains a regular schedule for routine maintenance of equipment and software.
- Installs, supervises the installation of, or provides technical advice for the installation of technology.
- Manages the IT Department budget
- Performs other related duties as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (Indicate the minimum requirements for this position)
Formal Education
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, or related field; minimum five (5) years of experience working in the information technology field
- Minimum three (3) years of experience supervising IT teams and projects
Skills/Abilities/Competencies
- Strong work ethic and job ownership mentality
- Ability to clearly articulate complex systems and system strategies with team members to build support and understanding of objectives.
- Experience with Microsoft application suite and services including Office 365 and Exchange online, - OneDrive, Sharepoint, Power Automate & Teams.
- Experience with data center management.
- Experience with on-prem phone system management.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, manage cross-functional projects, and mentor IT professionals.
- Expertise in leading the organization through technological changes.
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate communications, objectives, and tasks between internal and external resources.
- Proficient in contract negotiations, contract maintenance, and vendor management.
- In-depth knowledge of technology security and cyber-attack defenses.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to non-technical audiences, and business concepts to technologists.
- Ability to think creatively, exercise emotional intelligence, and maintain or shift focus in accordance with changing priorities. Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees and vendors doing business with the Cardinal Cushing Centers.
- Ability to deal with community members, vendors, employees, and other customers in a tactful and professional manner.
